Release of Liability — TN Appliance Exchange

Many appliance repairs require moving, disconnecting, and reconnecting the unit.

When appliances are moved, older plumbing lines, valves, drain hoses, electrical outlets, flooring, cabinetry, or shut-off valves may fail if they are worn, brittle, corroded, improperly installed, or previously stressed.

This form is required before we dispatch a technician.

Movement & Utilities

I understand the appliance may need to be moved or disconnected during service. Normal service procedures include reasonable movement, disconnection, reconnection, and testing of the appliance. I understand that water shut-off valves, gas valves, and electrical disconnects may not fully function or may fail when operated. I understand that testing may require temporary disconnection and reconnection of water, gas, or electrical service.

Pre-Existing Conditions

I understand older or pre-existing plumbing, electrical, or structural components may fail when disturbed. I acknowledge and agree that TN Appliance Exchange shall not be responsible for any damage resulting from pre-existing, concealed, deteriorated, or improperly installed conditions that fail during normal service procedures. I understand TN Appliance Exchange is not responsible for consequential or secondary damage arising from failure of pre-existing conditions.

Access & Scope

I confirm the appliance is accessible and that the surrounding area is safe and clear of hazards. I understand that existing gas line conditions are the homeowner's responsibility.

Service Authorization

I authorize TN Appliance Exchange to proceed with in-home service under these terms.

Final Acknowledgment & Release

Normal service procedures include reasonable movement, disconnection, reconnection, and testing of the appliance.

By signing below, I acknowledge and agree to the above terms and release TN Appliance Exchange from liability related to pre-existing, concealed, deteriorated, or improperly installed conditions that fail during normal service procedures, including any consequential, secondary, or indirect damage arising from such failure.
