E10 (some models show E11) on a Frigidaire washer is a water-fill error — the machine started but isn't getting enough water fast enough, so it stops. Like most fill problems, it's usually something simple upstream of the washer you can rule out in a couple minutes. Here's the order a tech checks it.
The most common cause: one or both of the hot/cold valves behind the washer got bumped partway closed, so water trickles instead of filling.
Check it: Reach behind the washer and make sure both the hot and cold supply valves are fully open.
Small mesh filters where the fill hoses screw into the washer clog with sediment and choke the fill — common on older installs or hard water.
Check it: Turn off the valves, unscrew the fill hoses at the washer, and clean the little mesh screens inside the inlet ports, then reconnect.
A kinked hose behind the washer, or low household water pressure, starves the fill and throws E10.
Check it: Pull the washer out gently and straighten any kink. If nearby faucets are also weak, it may be a house-pressure issue.
The washer's electric inlet valve opens to let water in. If it's failed or clogged internally, it can't fill even with the supply open and screens clean.
Check it: If valves are open, screens clean, and hoses straight but you still get E10, the inlet valve is the likely part — a tech diagnosis and replacement.
