Check it: Remove the bottom rack, twist out the filter cylinder at the tub floor, rinse it thoroughly, and clear the sump area underneath before reseating it snugly.
The drain hose behind the unit or under the sink gets kinked or clogged, blocking the water from leaving.
Check it: Check the hose behind the dishwasher and under the sink for kinks or clogs; straighten or clear as needed. Make sure the under-sink connection and any air gap are clear too.
A shard of glass, a seed, or a bit of debris can lodge in the drain pump impeller and stop it — common after a broken dish.
Check it: With the filter out, check the pump area at the base for debris (Bosch makes this accessible). If it's jammed or the pump is dead, it's a tech fix.
If the filter, hose, and pump area are all clear but E24 persists, the drain pump has failed.
